We all are completely aware of the gender stereotypes prevailing across globe. For eg; Women are expected to be perfectionist in cooking and all the house chores. She is given the responsibility of taking care of children and obeying her ‘Master’. In the past, female foeticide was very very common … This is so because a female is considered a burden; for she has to be sent of to her ‘Real‘ house after her marriage. Plus, men can earn money but, women? Oh, they are the ‘Weaker Gender‘. For centuries, women were neglected…. Not only that, if women roam with opposite genders, they’re considered ‘Unclassy‘ and ‘Mannerless‘. A boy, on the other hand, is so much valued. In countries like Saudi Arabia, Women can’t even go out without a ‘MALE ACQUAINTANCE‘. They are required to follow their strict dress code– Abaya {Loose fitting gown} and Scarf… Living here feels like a cage.. To have the permission of a male guardian to go out anywhere and to follow their commandes.
